Today we're launching Clara: an AI-powered primary care doctor.
Clara securely pulls your medical history from 150,000+ hospitals, labs, and pharmacies and reads all of it, every time you interact with us. We draft prescription refills, lab orders, and care plans for a clinician in your state to review and sign off on. Members can upgrade to connect their wearables or bundle longevity lab panels.
Clara is building a team with the experience to shepherd in the era of AI primary care, grounded in clinical quality, operations, and regulatory rigor.
Clara was founded by cofounders who built Circle Medical to $100M in revenue: George Favvas was CEO at Circle Medical for a decade. Caitlin Swift was VP Clinical Operations as the practice scaled to nearly 1 million appointments per year and 425 providers. Zeeshan built the clinical products at Circle and has also held product design stints at Meta and Uber.
The core team includes Brendan Levy as Chief Medical Officer. Brendan is a pioneer in asynchronous care, having led the medical groups or built the clinical products at Hims & Hers, Lemonaid Health, Wheel, and GoodRx, where he was Chief Medical Officer through the IPO after the acquisition of HeyDoctor, the company he cofounded. Claudia Tucker leads government affairs; she previously led government affairs at Teladoc, where she worked with state governors to expand telehealth access during COVID.
We're in the YC P26 batch and have raised $12M in an oversubscribed pre-seed led by Y Combinator and A.Capital, with participation from Liquid 2 Ventures (Joe Montana and Matthew Mulvey), SV Angel, Tim Abbott, Immad Akhund, Vinny Lingham, Jude Gomilla, Kevin Hartz, Brian Pokorny and Dan Burleigh.
We can’t wait for you to experience what primary care can be at askclara.com.
